After I got divorced and was living with my dad who helped me out quite a bit, I was surprised that he seemed to think I naturally knew how to do all the parenting tasks and was better at them than he was.

Even though I worked in a preschool before having kids there was still tons I didn't know and giving birth didn't cause all that knowledge to naturally come to me.

I thought it was also silly because in theory he's had way more parenting experience than I have.
