I had pre-eclampsia as well and though it was unpleasant and scary I felt that the doctors listened and took me seriously when I brought up concerns. Understandably and sadly it sounds like Tori Bowie avoided going to the hospital because as a black woman she likely wouldn't have had the same experience I had.
