My Wild Ideas that Fizzled

I enjoy coming up with big ideas and then making just enough progress on them to realize I don’t care enough to actually see them through. Here are a few of them:

LonelyTrain

a dating app that looks very simple but would have complicated matchmaking going on behind the scenes. I didn’t have anywhere near enough programming skills to pull it off.

Becoming a Speech Language Pathologist

Interesting subject, but sounds like a lot of work.

Becoming a Computer Programmer

I realized I would enjoy the perks of the job way more than the actual work. Some of them have kegs at work! And free fancy lunches! And they can work flexible hours sometimes! It’s not fair.

Unnamed vegetarian fast food restaurant

I love the ease of fast food, but I’m not a big meat eater and don’t like that it hurts the environment. But given my poor cooking skills, I’m not the right person to start one.

Butter!

a painfully realistic cooking podcast for people like me with little cooking skills. I got tired of it after a few episodes. Alas, I am no Alton Brown.
