The Differences Between My Type of Jobs and My Ex Wife’s
My ex wife’s jobs were all in tech doing programming at various companies.
My jobs have been a little more all over the map. While I was going to college I got a student job as a receptionist in the education department and also did some generic office work there. I’ve worked in two different daycares. Various positions at an amusement park. I’ve also done dinner theater and sometimes get paid for comedy and writing. Depending on who you ask, being a stay at home mom could also be on my jobs list.
Though mine were a bit all over the place, they were all quite different from my ex-wife’s work.
Now on to the differences…
The Pay
The most I’ve ever made at a regular job is per hour is $14. Sometimes I get more at comedy gigs, though that is not regular full-time work.
Her jobs aren’t hourly and even at her first job as a junior developer she made more than that.
Mentally exhausting
Our jobs really may be tied in this regard, but they require different kinds of mental power.
The problem solving I have to do at work is more interpersonal, while hers leans more towards logic.
