These are interesting points. I do feel though that the pandemic has caused many people to rethink the role work should play in their lives, so I believe there will continue to be pressure from employees to allow remote work so there can be better work/life balance. Depending on the work being done, such as deep individual focused work, it would likely be done more efficiently at home without distractions.
