This was fascinating! As a single mom I've definitely seen how hard to is to find positive male role models. I've been lucky my dad has stepped up and sees them pretty frequently. My son also goes to a coop preschool and though the teachers are both female there are frequently dads in the classroom parent teaching.

The dynamic with romantic relationships is different in my case because I'm gay. I've also tried finding male babysitters with no luck so far.
