Yes! I feel like there's pressure to paint a pretty picture of pregnancy and childbirth, so your kids don't feel bad or you don't overshare to other people or whatever. But pregnancy and childbirth suck! I hadn't even heard of the disease I ended up getting (preeclampsia) even though it's somewhat common.
